Stretch marks (also called striae in dermatology), are a type of scarring on the skin with an off-color hue.
What causes stretch marks?:
They are caused by tearing of the dermis, due to skin, muscle or fat tissue expansion during pregnancy and puberty. The dermis tears and a small amount of bleeding occurs which gives it the reddish or purplish coloring.
Can stretch marks be treated?:
Stretch marks cannot be removed or treated. Ones developed during adolescence can fade completely or get lighter while ones developed later in life tend to stay. Creams can be used to prevent further stretch marks but current ones cant be treated.

Can it be dangerous?
Yes it can be dangerous if you are allegric or take a high dose of the toxic. The toxin can attack the proteins and stop the nerve impulse and cause sagging paralysis.
